Invoicing

Docslot can now invoice agencies on behalf of experts.

For those without invoicing features in report writing systems, the task of invoicing agencies and keeping track of whether or not they've paid can be a tedious one. It may also be expensive as software such as Quick Books is needed.

Docslot can now invoice agencies and keep track of when they've paid, not only for Docslot cases but for all your medico-legal work. As of now, this feature comes at no extra cost to the expert.

Invoicing can be turned on from the invoicing page (https://www.docslot.co.uk/invoicing/settings.php) and more information is available from the invoicing help page (https://www.docslot.co.uk/help.php).

Generating Invoices for Docslot Cases

Once you've turned invoicing on, Docslot will notify you of invoices that need to be sent as soon as you've notified us of the attendance. You will need to enter your terms on the invoicing settings page. This information will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Generating Invoices for Non-Docslot Cases

The invoice generation page (https://www.docslot.co.uk/invoicing/generate.php) allows you to generate all other invoices.

However, you can also book non-Docslot cases into your diary so they are treated exactly the same as cases booked by agencies through Docslot. Click the red arrow next to a free appointment in the diary and select "reserve for other medico-legal work" for this feature.

Viewing and Tracking Invoices

Invoices can be viewed and tracked from the invoice listing page (https://www.docslot.co.uk/invoicing/invoices.php). Many search options are available, as well as the total of all invoices shown at any time, making it easy to find out how much you have invoiced for between given time periods, and how much each agency owes you. Unpaid invoices can also be resent.

As usual we really appreciate your feedback on this feature and hope it is useful to you in your medico-legal business.
